Advocacy and policy engagement are central to Seth Njeri Foundation’s mission to create lasting, systemic change in the fight against gender-based violence. We work to influence laws, policies, and institutional practices that protect women’s rights, promote accountability, and ensure justice for survivors.

Policy Advocacy & Legal Reform

Seth Njeri Foundation actively advocates for stronger, survivor-centered laws and policies that prevent gender-based violence and protect the rights and dignity of women and girls. We engage with policymakers, legislators, and government institutions to promote legal reforms, improved policy frameworks, and effective implementation of existing laws.

Through research, dialogue, and stakeholder engagement, we amplify survivor voices and community perspectives to ensure policies reflect real needs and lived experiences.

Collaboration with Civil Society & Stakeholders

We collaborate with civil society organizations, community groups, faith-based institutions, and advocacy networks to strengthen collective action against gender-based violence. By working together, we share knowledge, coordinate advocacy efforts, and build unified voices that influence policy change at local and national levels.

These partnerships enhance reach, credibility, and impact while ensuring a coordinated response to GBV.

Law Enforcement & Justice System Engagement

Seth Njeri Foundation works closely with law enforcement agencies, judicial officers, and justice actors to improve the handling of GBV cases. Through training sessions, sensitization workshops, and dialogue forums, we promote survivor-centered, trauma-informed approaches within justice systems.

Our engagement focuses on improving case management, reducing delays, minimizing re-traumatization, and strengthening accountability in investigations and prosecutions.

Capacity Building & Institutional Accountability

We support capacity-building initiatives that strengthen institutional responses to gender-based violence. This includes training on legal frameworks, ethical standards, survivor protection, and professional conduct. By promoting accountability and transparency, we aim to improve trust between communities and justice institutions.

Advocacy for Survivor-Centered Systems

At the heart of our advocacy is the commitment to survivor dignity, safety, and access to justice. We promote systems that prioritize timely response, confidentiality, and respectful treatment, ensuring survivors are supported at every stage of the justice process.
